I don’t usually write long opinions like this, but this scene made me write it because so many people focus only on that one moment and miss everything else. If even one person reads this , I’ll be happy.

I think most of the hate for that last scene comes from the viewer’s perspective. As fans, especially those who read the book, we already know Pan is innocent and how much she struggles because of her family. We know she’s not sleeping with anyone, we know what she’s really doing with Techin, and we know she truly loves Pheem. So it feels like Pheem is hurting someone completely innocent, and that makes the hate even stronger.

But from Pheem’s perspective, it’s different. She meets Pan and starts falling for her, but all she sees is an escort, so she believes Pan sleeps with people for money and would do anything for it. With her childhood trauma, that belief is even stronger. Even after offering money and asking Pan to stay, Pan still answers Techin’s call and rushes to him. Then Pheem sees the photos, and it’s not just anger, it’s jealousy and fear too, especially with Techin as her rival.

Also,Pan doesn’t care about how Pheem sees her. Bcs Pan always feels like she’s not enough for anyone. She loves Pheem, but it doesn’t feel like she believes in a future with her. So she lets Pheem think whatever she wants. With all of that, it’s fair that Pheem thinks about Pan that way.

Pheem grew up thinking everything can be controlled with money. But even after offering money, Pan still chooses to go to Techin, and that’s when Pheem loses control. So she reacts in the only way she knows, by trying to control her.

Her actions are wrong and can’t be defended at all. Even if Pan was the kind of person Pheem thinks she is, she still has no right to treat her like that.
But we can understand that she’s shaped by her past . understanding doesn’t mean excusing her actions.

But still, she is not a completely bad character. Even though she strongly believes Pan is that kind of person, she never stops loving her. There are moments that show she is ready to accept Pan and wants her for more than just temporary happiness. She helps Pan’s friends without judging them, treats Pan’s wounds, buys her clothes, reacts when she sees Pan’s mom calling, even pays off the debt. There is also a small detail where Pan says pheem won’t eat our food, but Pheem eats the fruit Pan’s mom gives without hesitation. Even with all the misunderstanding, she hurts Pan, but at the same time she loves her.

But The way she treats Pan is definitely not okay, and it really makes me feel bad for Pan in that moment. But I still think Pheem deserves a second chance. I’m glad Pan is someone who can see the soft person behind that cold and harsh exterior. That’s how she got that nickname “husky.”

Also, it’s understandable why this scene makes people forget her good side. Even in real , when someone acts harshly, especially bcs of trauma, people often only see the anger and not the reason behind it or their good side. Even though this is just a character, the fans’ reaction shows that clearly.

Another thing is Lena has said many times not to judge the character quickly, that she is not what people think and that she truly loves Pan. I remember how excited she was for this character, even knowing it would get criticized. I think she hoped people would also see the softer side.

So I wrote all this bcs of Lena. 🥹 🦋

And if you watch carefully, you can really feel how every small detail is shown through her acting. She is truly amazing. She did a great job here.
