The pride flag will at the United States' chief of mission’s residence in Nassau, The Bahamas, all month in honor of pride month, according to the US Embassy.

It will also fly at the US Embassy downtown and at the home of Chargé d'Affaires Usha Pitts.

Funnily enough, the organization I now work for (@BNTBahamas) manages the park that protects the breeding habitat of the Abaco Parrot. So everything's basically come full circle!!

So my Birding Origin Story for today's #BlackBirdersWeek2022 theme #InTheNest.

When I was about... 7 or 8, my extended family (my immediate + cousins & their parents) went to the island of Abaco for about 2 weeks for vacation. There, I saw for the first time, Bahama Parrots.
