We're committed to providing safe, reliable power and positive customer experiences. Monitored daily from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. To report an outage, call 615-234-0000.
NES is actively monitoring potential inclement weather in the forecasts for tomorrow, which could lead to safety hazards and power outages. In addition to the marginal severe weather threat, temps are still climbing, with tomorrow expected to reach the high 80s.
As we prepare to respond to potential outages, we want our customers to be ready and safe in case they lose power during hot weather. Read more on that here: https://t.co/gcmRe4tZuv
We also encourage you to stay informed and follow the safety tips below.
Resources for severe weather:
- Create an emergency preparedness plan with family members.
- Check out https://t.co/xoX7tPq7Ed for Spring Storm Guidance.
If there is a power outage, customers should text "OUT" to 637797 (mobile phone must be tied to the account), report it on the NES mobile app, call 615-234-0000, log in to My Account at https://t.co/ogvam3xNM5 , or report it on the NES outage map at https://t.co/ShN6irrV59.
- For your safety, if you see a downed power line, stay at least 30 feet away and call 9-1-1 immediately.
- If you are using a portable generator, keep it outdoors and away from windows.
- Check on and inform your neighbors.
We are keeping an eye on the forecast and preparing for potential power outages. Should you lose power, report your outage by calling 615-234-0000, texting "OUT" to 637797, or using the new NES app. Review our checklist to ensure you are ready.

NES crews are working nonstop to restore power for everyone!
Our safe Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) is 9 a.m. June 10, but many customers will see their lights come back on sooner.
This ETR applies to all NES customers who are able to receive power. Restoration times depend on the number of damaged poles and downed wires, as well as the complexity of repairs. Weather, hidden damage, and even traffic can impact these timelines. Sometimes temporary outages are necessary so crews can safely restore service to neighboring areas.
We prioritize repairs that help the most customers and critical facilities, such as hospitals, fire stations, and water treatment plants.
Every NES customer matters, and our team won’t stop until everyone’s power is restored. Thank you for your patience and support!

Our crews always answer the call to serve. Through miserable weather conditions, physical work, and long hours, our linemen demonstrate excellence in their work every day. Today, we want to recognize our brave linemen for a different reason.
We are enormously proud to recognize our 2026 Lineworker Rodeo Team and their success at the Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo! Three journeyman teams, two senior individuals, and two apprentices competed to test their skills, speed, and safety practices.
