The group exercise we did in class about finding if the article we had was plausible, was very helpful and an eye opener in how legit an article may look, but comparing it to the sources and seeing how they change the words around can be a red flag. #techwriting3091
Social Media is filled with fake news. With the article we read, it shows us the different ways we can have the power in our hands to find it is worth reading or not. Simple things like looking over their references, if the have, the date, and reading each word #techwriting3091
@PenpaLhamo5 I agree! There are some juicy news that isn't real but people will believe what they want to believe without doing their research. I myself have fallen for fake news and shared it among my Facebook friends. I have been embarrassed by my friends correcting me with whats real. 🤦♀️
So far, “ The Book of the City of Ladies” tells the reader a story of a day in the life of a princess. It’s a way of a guide book, the good deeds and what a woman should do if they are considered a princess. It mentions how people princesses should not gossip and instead of..
“.... but it should not be believed that women are the worse for knowing what is good.” The way I took this quote is that men back then preferred women to be uneducated because they would have made decisions that men weren’t used to and it wouldn’t have benefitted.. #rhetoric3020
A couple of videos from Youtube are examples of screencast. For example, DIY, makeup tutorials, and videos that help the viewers learn about Photoshop or about new games. #techwriting3091
A carefully produced screencast would be a great way to convey the scripted parts. You could guarantee a concise (and repeatable) exposition of key points. As questions popped up, you could pause the screencast and use live screensharing to explore them. #techwriting3091
@BigVic_908 I agree! Schools are starting it by having tech boards in the classroom and and are using it more than chalkboards. At my job, the teachers are teaching students about the different shapes, and with technology, the students are more intrigued and involved. #techwriting3091
" Writing and editing will remain the foundation skills they always were, but we'll increasingly combine them with speech and video." I believe that each generation will always come up with something more hip, and it'll always work 😃 #techwriting3091
How awesome is it to come up with the arrangement of a speech from a while ago and students with writers are still using that same way in making a speech or writing a paper. We still use Socrates ways of speech which is, having a head, body, then conclusion. I also learned how
Delivery was very important to the first people that were learning about rhetoric. Having a good voice in announcing the delivery of new rhetoric was very common, now in days, we don’t even use our voices, we use our fingers @gonzo_rhetoric#rhetoric3020
“Institutes of Oratory” speaks about the truth una young men learning about grammar and rhetoric. Quintilian shows the passion he has for rhetoric by opinionating that young men are not learning it early enough. There is no stopping when studying about rhetoric. Even if a boy
Grows up and teaches rhetoric to students, the orators should never stop to study and should practice it since it is language and something f we should be thankful to have @gonzo_rhetoric#rhtoeric3020
Cicero also says that rhetoric can be so important in creating order. Every men should learn it, no matter the power they withheld. #rhetoric3020@gonzo_rhetoric
Thanks to “ De Oratore” podcast, I was able to learn about the “most important creation story of the rhetoric” it is about a discussion and argument about how buman brings are slower, and weaker and less deadly thank other animals, but our best weapon is our ability to discourse.
