@pepemac27 I went to bed at 6 am after being at work since 9am including last 10 hours with sick meningococcal patient. Woke up at 8 am to go in for ward round to find car rolled down my drive and half way across road 🤦‍♀️ - fortunately it’s a quiet lane!

very eloquent - I think we need to talk about people rather than ‘illegal migrants’ - they are real men, women and children who feel that their current situation is so terrible that they are prepared to risk their and their families life to flee it.

At least 2 patients on ward today where family are staying with other family members despite living in and then visiting lockdown area. When asked one said she was visiting her sick mother and why couldn’t she is people can go to the pub. We need a clear plan and message!

@SueMoorcroft We are certainly a lot less children in hospital with other respiratory viruses as they are not at school sharing bugs!

For 5 months our airports and ports have remained open. In that time tens of thousands of people have walked into our country without any quarantine rules. And now.... with 40,000 people dead and the worst performance in Europe we impose it. Absolutely mad.
