@rogueAelfinn Out of these 4? The M'Hael. He added a much needed contemporary human element to the Shadow. Instead of wagering on the Madness being slow or the Red finding him, he charged forward: Swearing to the Shadow. The only way to stake off the Madness and get powerful friends.

@rogueAelfinn Moghedien for her tenacity. She chooses her battles as well as she can. You may call her a coward, but a spider survives by waiting for the right time to strike. There are, of course, times where she is overwhelmed. If the net is destroyed, the spider is helpless.

@rogueAelfinn In the books? 3. No question. There is a case to be made for Egwene to have shown some signs (especially leading the Tower), but she's nowhere near the three boys.

In the show? 5 are possible I guess, but it remains to be sean. This is a new Turning, after all.

@RayRichardsWOT Non-readers definitely belong into the feedback loop so that the reader-writers don't get too stuck in the material.
But them writing episodes? Not too much a fan of that. It can work for moments that aren't in the book if they get exceptional cliff notes. Not entire episodes.

2. I got the impression that it was a Shield, his words imply so. However. In Rafe's interview with CBR, the interviewer talks about Moiraine's Stilling and Rafe doesn't correct.

@rogueAelfinn It's a 2/4 for me. Mat's absence withstanding, there were too many "gratuitous" changes for the sake of later events. They didn't have to be here at this point and I wonder what will come from them. Because if they don't have consequences, they really are just because.

So the #WoTFinale happened and it was a thing. Not saying that it was bad. I do feel however that it tried a bit too much because of later events. Which is borne out of having only 8 Episodes and relegating much to the X-Ray Trivia. There just wasn't enough breathing room.

Has anyone taken a closer look at the x-ray trivia? I haven't looked at everything, but there is some information in them that could have been mentioned in dialogue. Aiel this side of the Spine is bad why again? That line didn't fit in?

@rogueAelfinn I will rewatch a few times and go deep. I really don't like the x-ray trivia. Way too much in there. But I guess that's what we get with only 8 episodes. So I plan to analyse what is in there. Except the Aiel War and a certain name.

Even if we take the absolute oldest I have seen (40 on Wikipedia) and apply the half + 7 rule, we get an "acceptable" age of 27. Josha is 26. One year "too young!"

The only "valid" criticism is that she's older than book Min. Anyone said that?

@TherinLewd I think WoT the show is a good adaptation so far. It's not without flaws, as is normal, but it is good at what it is trying to do. Which is to depict the events and characters in a much more concise form than the books could afford.
I still love WoT the books for what they are.
