@ciaran_lee Beyond 100mbits (for a typical home), loaded latency is the most important metric!
And should be minimised as close to unloaded latency as possible.

@vishalmisra Great article from a true pioneer
Your paper is the seminal work rigorously linking control theory to TCP
But I thought Van Jacobson’s original CC idea was inspired by control theory? Iirc he mentions servos. But it the math wasn't thorough
Either way, you're both legends!
I’m prone to gaming addiction (especially Halo), and with work keeping me busy, I’ve avoided games for years. Over Christmas, I played the new Indiana Jones. It’s a masterpiece! Great plot, a worthy successor to Infernal Machine and the SCUMM engine classics. Highly recommend!
Happy New Year!🥳
We've got some really exciting stuff planned for you this year. We're already testing two massive new features that will be coming in 2025.
We'll have more info to share with you soon👀
- the Netduma team
I'm incredibly grateful for the support over the years, #DumaArmy.
Your help has enabled us to invest in challenging R&D & soon you'll see these amazing features.
Just a few years ago, I thought many of these were impossible, but our elite team has made them a reality.
🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of Netduma! 🎉

@ProInnocence Yeah, all good. Unfortunately, I have no time for gaming anymore, not even during Christmas, haha. I'll try to use Twitter more in the new year now that our major R&D phase is coming to an end.
@elonmusk@ID_AA_Carmack FYI, the research field is called Delay Tolerant Networks (DTN). Been out of it for 15 years, so not sure how active it is now.
