I have had enough of the bile being spewed here about my colleague and friend @rodericogorman. With @profmdoherty I hired him to work @LawGovDCU in 2012. He has been a brilliant lecturer and a kind, compassionate mentor to untold students. He will be an outstanding minister.

This has been driven by homophobia since the beginning. Why does R O'Gorman have to answer for alleged views of someone he was in a photo with? I'm sure I'll vociferously oppose him on a range of issues over the next years. But we should all stand against these homophobic slurs.
