I am happy to announce the establishment of the Youth Peace & Security Resource Center- Cameroon by @loyocameroon. I'm happy that several years of working as a YPS practitioner & researcher have inspired the creation of this physical/virtual one-stop-shop and learning centre for young people & stakeholders working or supporting the participation of young people in peacebuilding in Cameroon. YPS-YCR will create a safe space to advance the #YPS agenda through knowledge creation, collection, preservation and dissemination as well as capacity building. I have been shortlisted for the Youth4Climate Call
for Solutions challenge
Out of thousands of applications responding to the Youth4Climate Call for Solutions, my project proposal that focuses on ENERGY has been shortlisted as a finalist.

Most of the population in the DRC and practically persons with disabilities in the province of North Kivu do not have a dietary habit and are forced to submit to short-cooked foods which leads to poor nutrition caused by the lack of access to economical, clean and sustainable energy.

As a shortlisted candidate, I have been invited to participate in this year’s Oct. 17-19 #Youth4Climate: #SparkingSolutions flagship
event in Rome, 🇮🇹 , where I and fellow climate solution innovators will have a chance to pitch our projects and discuss pressing climate issues!

I am beyond excited to be joining dozens of other shortlisted candidates from all over the globe.

What does peace PEACE means for you ??

For me it’s means INCLUSION because I believe that the true peace can only be achieved when every individual, regardless of race, religion, gender or disability, is included, respected and celebrated. By embracing diversity and rejecting violence, we are building a world where peace reigns supreme and harmony is our greatest achievement.

My message today it to recall world leaders, that we need their leadership and commitment to peace.

Don't underestimate the power of your actions and decisions to positively influence the lives of millions of people around the world.

On this International Day of Peace, we call on you to act with determination, generosity and compassion to build a better world where peace, justice and solidarity reign.

Together, we can make a difference.
