Having 10 teams has just thinned out the bowling way too much. Every team basically plays one overseas pacer and the rest are local guys, and let's be real, the domestic bowling depth just isn't there right now. It's getting hard to watch.

Some thoughts on Economic Planning for India:

As a country you get rich by two ways -

Either your country's land has something that the world wants (Eg- Saudi, Qatar, Russia has Oil, Singapore has strategic strait access)

Or you build something that the world wants (China, Korea, USA, Germany)

A 3rd option could be as a broker of financial services for these rich countries, but this is applicable only to small countries like Mauritius, Luxembourg

In India's case 1st option is out of question since we don't currently have any significant exportable minerals, talks of Lithium reserves are on paper only, government is reluctant to explore Andaman Sea

So we are left with option 2 - Make something the world wants

In this category, the Koreans have high end electronics, USA has Software as a Service, Germany has cutting edge engineering products and China produces everything other produces but cheaper

India has 0 USP

Till now has got its growth only thanks to being an outsourcing hub for American software grunt work and Remittance

Rest of the economic growth is only thanks to unlocking domestic consumption patterns hidden since the past 50 years

This has ensured while India has grown in scale but it continue to suffer from horrible per capita metrics

In short, The country is rich, it's people are poor

With the coming of AI revolution, American software grunt work contracts will be slashed by at least 50% by the end of this decade

This would mean reduced FOREX earnings and what else?

Employment Crisis in the educated workforce

Ideally a replacement to the Service export model should have been ready by now in the form of a wide manufacturing base by cannibalizing China's economy

We got a small window for that from 2020 to 2021 end, but we squandered it big time by not doubling down on reforms

Whatever industries left China only a chunk came to our share, many went to Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia

Personally, I beleive we could have been the bread basket of the world, by quadrupling our Agriculture yield

Let India feed the world and get FOREX from Agri sector, this would have changed the game for 55% of our population

Alas! Democracy happened, Singhu border was swarmed by Arhatiyas and no reforms were done on that front and farming continues to be a business of loss

This made the farmers increasingly depend upon Transfer payment and doles from the already burdened state

At last I will conclude by saying we are f*cked

2025-2030 has to be the years of radical reforms in the field of land, labour, law and capital and massive debt fueled Capital Expenditure, don't care about raising debt

National Remittance policy has to be officially adopted, government has to officially take a stand and negotiate with countries

We can supply skilled blue collar worker, farm labour, care giver to countries facing demographic crisis

A serious administration would have already hassled Mohammad Bin Salman to use exclusively Indian labours in building cities on Saudi Red Sea coast including NEOM

This would have brought lakhs of jobs for desperate poor and billions in Remittance

Why this has not be done? Why we are not proactive? Are we ashamed?

The other thing that is needed is collaborate extensively with Perplexity and Microsoft CEO about the dangers of AI

Indian government should be in loop about this, so that we can take active step

Not by banning AI, but by reorienting our strategy

Government can try, but AI is here to stay

Use the brilliant Indian-American and NRI community, they love India, they just need a chance to prove themselves

And please stop this environmental virtue signalling nonsense like a 1st World post industrialized country, you are a 3rd world country with $ 2800 per capita

Save the forests but focus on building for now, take debt, build, then take some more debt and keep on building
