⚠️ Due to damage to the overhead electric wires between Lancaster and Oxenholme Lake District some lines are blocked.

⚒️ Engineers are aware of the fault and are sending a team to site to resolve the issue.

❗ TransPennine Express services on the following routes may be delayed, revised, cancelled in both directions :

•Edinburgh and Glasgow to Manchester Airport.
•Glasgow Central to Liverpool Lime Street.

Please be advised Avanti West Coast services are also affected by this disruption today - Please check before you travel.

The Met Office has issued weather warnings for high winds across Scotland & northern England this weekend. There's a risk of rail disruption, so please plan ahead and allow extra time.

Sat 24 October: Check before you travel on all Avanti West Coast routes.

Sun 25 October: We strongly recommend you avoid travel north of Preston if possible. We're running a reduced timetable due to Network Rail speed restrictions, with fewer trains and longer journey times.

🎟️ Avanti West Coast tickets for journeys north of Preston on Sunday 25 October can be used at no extra cost on 24, 26 or 27 October.
