Transpower has advised they have found the fault that has caused the power outage affecting the top of the South Island. A planned restoration of supply is currently expected to occur over the next hour.
Heads up Murchison! From Thurs 12th to Sat 14th Dec you’ll be running on diesel generators to enable essential maintenance at Matiri Valley Rd substation. Power can be used as normal, but expect a brief outage at noon on Sat. You may hear the generators, especially at night.
All of Pohara will be affected by a power outage from approximately 1:00 pm this afternoon, to allow for the finishing of repairs to the network following a car vs pole incident in the early hours of this morning. All consumers will have power restored by 2:00 pm.

Notified shutdowns in the areas of Awa Awa Road, Pomona Road, Aporo Road and side streets, Tasman, and Kerr Bay Road and Roto-Iti Street, St Arnaud, will go ahead today (Tuesday 14 Feb).
At this stage the shutdowns planned for the Tasman and St Arnaud areas tomorrow (Tuesday 14 Feb) will go ahead. Our Contractor will advise us if they decide not to proceed and we will update via Facebook and Twitter accordingly.
A truck has hit and broken a power pole in Atawhai cutting power to the areas of Brooklands Rd, Paremata Rd, Montrose Dr, Bayview Rd and Dodson Valley. We hope to have the power restored by about 6pm. Thank you for your patience.

Network Tasman has now restored supply to most customers in the Atawhai area. We are still checking lines north of Atawhai and in the Maitai Valley. We regret the impact on residents and are continuing to work to restore supply to those still without power.
An unknown fault has cut supply to customers in the Maitai and Atawhai areas. Our contractor is working in difficult conditions to find the fault. We are mobilising a generator as a back up. We regret the impact on an already stressed community.

Network Tasman has postponed the Golden Bay outage scheduled for Sunday 12 June.
The outage will now take place on the advertised alternate date of Sunday 19 June.
