As Botswana strives towards a diversified economy, the sports economy agenda remains a priority.

In concluding my working visit to Hungary, I had the opportunity to attend the 2025 World Judo Championships, where I was honoured to receive an honorary black belt. A recognition of my contribution to the growth and promotion of Judo, a sport I’ve been involved with over the years.

We look to advancing sport to open new pathways for our nation.
