Due to wind and some not so nice looking clouds on Friday, the solar panels didn't make their way on to the roof. But that's what Monday's are for, right?

The guys from @sycamoreenergy manage to get some of the tech on before things got breezy.

If you're the owner of this super efficient home you're going to want to control the temp inside, right? Hot or cold, this unit is going to chuck it! @SteinerPlbgHtg is installing this little guy, but dont let its size fool you. It's much smaller than yours but this is overkill.

Construction isn't always clean & pretty but thanks to Lacquette Construction, they're in this masterpiece of a house doing the big jobs like dry wall to some small finishing touches.

John's Elecric worked in the dim light yesterday installing the home's beefed up electrical panel. This will be for the home's appliances and lights. There will be a second box for the solar panels that will be connected to this one later on.

The south facing side will be almost entirely covered in solar panels. Grid-tied solar panels will provide the most cost-effective form of renewable energy for this zero energy home. They can power all the energy needs of the home...

... The panels can power the homes lighting, appliances, heating and cooling systems. These panels are the most expensive elements of a net zero home but add tremendous value & renewable energy production in the home's smart design.

The pics show the attention to detail w/ air sealing the penetrations in the ceiling. This detailed approach should provide a highly durable & effective air seal at these areas. A lot of the little things like this add up when it comes to the overall energy efficiency. 👌🏡
