BrainBridge, a #Neuroscience & #BiomedicalEngineering startup, is developing a 'head transplant system' using advanced #robotics and #AI.The goal? Transplanting a patient's head onto a healthy donor body while preserving consciousness & memories, offering hope for those with untreatable conditions.
Could this be the future for #longevity interventions?

In the pantheon of great film and TV neurobollocks entries, there are many competitors for the Crown of the Daft. You think of the pigs and their basal ganglia in Black Widow and the rather extreme approach to avoiding pheromones (hit your nose on a desk- not advised)

Neurowrap! 400 quid for a device that shines red lights on your head and also makes you look kinda stupid:

About 10 years ago there was a brief fashion for 'neuro-device' companies (all bullshit), then it all died down for a while. Seems like it's back!
Upd: a cool article from @neurobollocks : Apparently, in 6 years still nobody knows where the hell did the colored version come from

Are brain scans the next frontier in learning? A future where MRI scans of students’ brains, on a limited scale, could aid curriculum development for all students may be possible, say researchers https://t.co/W9Wgo6a9jp
My review of #BlackWidow:
Lots of fun, genuine heart, taskmaster is kickass, Florence Pugh is great, overall: 8/10.
HOWEVER... Neuroscience content: 1/10. Try harder.
Right, I'm sick of this
New goal: I'm going to find the neuroscientists who beg people play crude games and find out what their deal is
Assuming they exist. Which I doubt.
But if so, I'm going to make someone admit that's the case! Such BS about my field shouldn't be tolerated
So this is just your usual snake-oil with a side of COVID "plandemic" nonsense, and really... the thalamus sends out T-cells? I think you mean the thymus. Perhaps you need some kind of brain tonic?
So this company is selling "OXYTOCIN". Except it's not oxytocin. In small print you see "precursor". But it's not a specific precursor, it's just four basic nutrients https://t.co/Iv0WNWIwTk You'd need to be high on the love hormone not to hate this
A colleague sent me this - she is seething, and rightly so. I am too. Arrant fucking nonsense, and extremely sexist.

(Need to log-in to LinkedIn to see it unfortunately, but I'll put some 'highlights' below.)
