Freelance 3D Artist & Illustrator for games | May or may not just be a dolphin flapping at a keyboard | Originally from Canada, bub | Snakk på norsk til meg!
First thing I've created in weeks due to world-induced badbrain. Been rewriting my billion year old fanfiction recently to gently get myself back into being creative & made this cover
@shookdoctrine Jones is a big inspiration for me, & David Brin's book, Startide Rising. Surprisingly sci-fi dolphins in space was relatively common in the 80s?
There's also Blue Planet, a tabletop RPG & apparently some exist deep in Star Trek canon lore. Um, I'm a bit committed to concept LOL!
It's been a little while, but I'm still around. It's been difficult to create lately because of what we're all going through, but it's good to catch up! Unsurprisingly I've been paining dolphins & orcas, when I can kick the creative faucet enough for a few drops!
Please join me in supporting the vital work @WHALES_org does for cetaceans big & small as I do two 12 hour streams, on May 12 & 20th.
Can't make the date? You can still donate!

Retweets very much help the cause & I hope to see you there, donations or not!
Anyone able to point me to some folks who look over CVs & game applications?
I'm told by folks that my work is good & ought to have "no trouble" landing studio positions, but I must be doing something wrong. Because places can't give feedback on applications, I'm stabbing blind.
I'm told a lot that my work is good enough, but is it really, even for junior positions? I keep applying for junior positions or things that aren't Senior.
I'm just a bit at a loss here.
I'm not giving up. I'm trying still, & I'm working on what I can do, creating, learning new skills & refining what I can do but I am just lost for how to improve THIS. How can I make myself a stronger applicant? Are my cover letters too long? Is my CV too much?
@delaneykingrox I have an androgynous name but I am female. I'm struggling to find work too, & I'm looking for Junior positions. On a couple of occasions, applications looked like they were going forward until they heard my voice. "Oh! You're a woman!" Interview was very short & never heard back
Still need to tweak weights but I thought I'd take him for a spin. No IKs put in yet. Haven't done the blendshapes yet so his eyes are still squinty, as I modelled them. Model, texture, rig & character design all my own. #3DArt#GameArt#WIP@polycount
