Michael sang about police brutality, childhood trauma, med dependency, isolation, dysfunctional views of sex, environmental issues, racial harmony, sexuality, child neglect, peer pressure, anti-violence, and more, showed graphic clips of poverty, war, animal abuse, and genocide in his videos, took a big risk by completely changing his image after Thriller & inventing "Good Gone Bad" in pop instead of staying comfortable, dropped Off the Wall after disco demolition night, the crotch grab alone was super controversial & madonna again tried to copy it, he combined many different genres in both music and dance & incorporated multi-culturism in his work and didn’t stick to just one familiar demographic like madonna, no one was willing to pay a lot for videos until he TOOK THE RISK and revolutionized the medium & broke racial barriers, danced as a Black Panther tearing down KKK graffiti, rejected traditional masculinity for unconventional aesthetics, pushed boundaries of live shows w/ all his concerts, reasserted his dominance throughout every changing music landscape from the 60s-2000s, Michael‘s entire existence as the #1 artist in a racist industry was more controversial than any cheap gimmick Madonna tried. He still gets punished for it to this day.

That’s just off the top of my head. Meanwhile, talking about getting railed all day is not a risk, y‘all need to have some standards. Sex has been the most frequent subject in music since the 1930s. Her "risks" are forgotten while Michael‘s became industry standard.
