This is what changed my views on Trump. He turned a dark & hopeless situation completely around. And I watched the msm and politicians say NOTHING. No praise, no thanks, no mention. They instead lied and upped their attacks. He's not a perfect man, but he has my respect for that.

TRUE TRAFFICKING STORY:

Years ago under Obama my mom transferred briefly to a government-funded organization she thought was a standard caseworker position.

It was a facility that took in migrant children who were separated/alone after crossing the border. The purpose was supposed to be to reunite these kids with their families (all ages, toddlers to teens).

The building was unmarked and everything was vague & secretive, for what she assumed was the security of the kids.

She was horrified at the condition of these children when they arrived--filthy, starving, lice & worms, glassy eyed, crying and unable to sleep at night--but even more horrified at the process of this organization..

There was no oversight. There was no verification process to confirm who these "family members" were who were taking the kids. She wasn't even sure where or how they were finding these alleged "uncles, cousins" etc. (She was particularly concerned by one man who had collected several children on separate occasions). And there was no follow up process after the children were picked up, they were just gone.

Some of the kids would run away after arriving, and they'd just be marked as runaways with no follow up.

Any children who weren't able to be united with family were transferred to other facilities (for "security" reasons it was unclear where/what).

The staffing was lean and overworked. Many of them hardly spoke English.

She began to have this sick feeling that they were just cleaning up, feeding and medicating these kids to prep them for the next phase of government-aided human trafficking.

She confided in me about it because she had no idea who to go to with this information. She had voiced her concerns but outside of her supervisor there didn't seem to be any chain of command or external oversight. Like most gov-funded third parties, they were basically left alone to self-report, and there was no interest from DHS or others in looking deeper.

Shortly after, Trump took office and the funding for this program was almost immediately ended and it was dissolved.

I have no doubt they're back in business, thriving on Biden's border crisis.
