I actually think, in its own way, it could lead to a golden age in pop too. Listened to Toxic the other day, and it reminded me how out the box pop production/writing was then. If homogenous pop writers are out of a job, maybe real algorithm breakers will flourish
On some level, I feel like this could kill the pop music industry and lead to a golden era for other genres. Because the people who listen to stuff like this won’t care that it’s like this.
Just started rewatching this for the first time since I was a kid and now I’m almost done with season one. Fuck I forgot how great this was. Just unreal. And I have Forest Whitaker to look forward to
Just watched the pilot of THE SHIELD. Nuclear levels of mean spirited. Shot better than 99.9% of movies. “Bawitdba” is used in full. One of the greatest things I’ve ever seen.

One of Nathan Fielder’s best, most forthright interviews was in 2015 when he found out an AV Club writer’s mom didn’t like him and he wanted to sit down with her to find out why
I liked Tony. I thought it was a good movie. Made me wanna do seasonal kitchen work again. I also saw Peking Opera Blues at Metrograph and was blown away. That is just why movies are made
That movie shoulda become a bad movie classic. Whenever I’m at a club/rave and a DJ plays with the BPM, I sometimes check my heart rate because of that one absurd scene
I remember seeing this video from an Adult Swim segment and basically thinking they were the coolest dudes on earth. I was basically right.

No joke, it’s one of my life goals to make a Big Beat banger song. I wanna help bring about a big beat Revival, in some small way. “Right Here Right Now” and “Breathe” would bang just as hard if they came out today
