Was speaking to a friend who was saying in these dark times - even speaking basic truths is seen and framed as taking a big risk. Just makes me feel ashamed for the human race - if saying , in essence , over and over again - Palestinian children and Israeli children have the same value in the eyes of god - stop killing children now - is a risk ? If saying THAT is a risk, what exactly is worth preserving ?

Probably the most consequential effect of the current Israeli-Palestinian war is that it's making it crystal clear to the entire planet who between the West and the rest has more moral authority. And it ain't the West...

It matters, A LOT. At the end of the day political legitimacy is based on trust, and trust is granted if you believe leaders make the correct moral choices. This war is destroying trust in the West like nothing I've seen before, even from their own citizens. This will likely have very far-reaching consequences.

In the past 20 minutes, Palestinian and Israeli media are reporting that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has launched what appears to be the most violent and massive air campaign against targets inside the Gaza Strip.
