There is more money in the economy now than 30 years ago in the US, UK, Australia, Germany and the rest. Junk got cheap. The one thing that matters got expensive. A house.

Immigration is a big reason. People come from very poor places like India, Syria, Somalia and Afghanistan. They get better off fast, get citizenship quickly and vote left. Politicians know they will vote left. That is why they brought them in. The middle class already here faces higher housing costs. Homeowners and the elite do even better.
