The deadline for the University of Bristol to appeal my victory at the Employment Appeal Tribunal to the Supreme court has now expired.

The Appeal Tribunal has confirmed that the University of Bristol has not submitted an application. This rules out an appeal to the Supreme Court.

I note that Bristol University still has exactly 14 days to apply to the Court of Appeal, which is a subordinate court.

This, however, would not allow Bristol to challenge a key precedent determined last February, which would have been their primary method of overturning my victory. That case established that a Christian teacher Kristie Higgs was legitimately expressing her underlying Christian beliefs for which she was sacked by her employer.

I look forward to Bristol University inviting me to discuss my reinstatement as Professor of Political Sociology.
