"Your job as a trader is to wait for the best opportunities. Money is made stalking and sitting not being active and forcing a new trade each day."
- Dan Zanger
I was still in college 3 years ago.
Today I trade full-time while traveling the world.
I only became consistent after I stopped making these mistakes (avoid them):
Profitable traders focus on the process, not the outcome. They understand that consistent execution of their trading plan, rather than the results of individual trades, is what ultimately leads to long-term success.
Execution > Outcome.
Trading is one of the few places where doing nothing can be the best decision.
No entry.
No revenge trade.
No forced setup.
No need to prove anything today.
Sometimes protecting your capital is the trade.
It is far easier to give up when you are aiming for a million dollars versus making your utility bill costs each month.
Don't be afraid of being modest at the beginning.
The majority of people that don't hold to modesty in the start... fail by trying to do more than they are presently equipped to handle.
Toodles.
