Watching Seun Okinbaloye last night on Politics Today on Channels TV, where he gave one of the most beautiful and powerful statements I’ve heard from any Nigerian journalist in a long time, I couldn’t help but pause and reflect deeply on his words.

He said, “This is not a time to say you’re in govt or you’re in opposition or you’re a journalist, this is the time to stand for Nigeria....

We saw Somalia, Afghanistan, Libya and other nations invaded in the past, they are never the same again. I am standing up for Nigeria on this and I stand against invasion...”

Seun spoke not as a journalist last night but as a son of this country who truly understands what it means to lose a nation. It wasn’t just commentary; it was a call to conscience.

This is the kind of voice Nigeria needs right now. A voice that rises above party politics and selfish interests, a voice that refuses to sell patriotism for clicks or validation.

I’ve watched Seun Okinbaloye for years, and I can boldly say he remains one of the finest journalists this country has ever produced.

He is fearless yet balanced, bold yet deeply thoughtful, and above all, a man who has consistently shown that journalism, when done right, can be a tool for nation-building. Many journalists today chase controversy, not clarity.

They seek applause from foreign powers rather than understanding from their own people. But Seun has kept his integrity intact in a profession where many have traded theirs for favors and influence.

His words last night reminded me that Nigeria still has men who speak not for applause, but for truth. Men who understand that no matter our differences, Nigeria is all we have.

If this nation falls, there will be no govt or opposition, no Muslim or Christian, no North or South. There will only be ruins. That’s why his message was more than just journalism. It was patriotism wrapped in wisdom.

I may not agree with every opinion Seun gives, but I respect the depth, honesty, and responsibility that come with his words. He didn’t choose fear; he chose courage. He didn’t choose neutrality; he chose patriotism.

And in a time like this, when many so-called intellectuals are openly supporting the idea of foreign military presence in our soil, Seun chose to remind us of something simple yet sacred — that Nigeria must defend itself, no matter how imperfect we think she is.

Seun’s message is the kind of reminder that wakes the conscience of a nation. It tells every Nigerian, both in power and in opposition, that this is not a time to trade blame or mock leadership. It’s a time to defend our land, our flag, and our people.

We can fix our differences internally. We can correct our leadership failures internally. But if we invite outsiders to solve our problems, we will lose the very essence of what it means to be Nigerian.

I salute Seun Okinbaloye for speaking up when it matters the most. His words should be replayed in every newsroom, every university, and every living room across Nigeria.

Because at the end of the day, no journalist can truly claim to love his country if he cannot defend her when her dignity is under threat.

Thank you, @seunokin, for being the voice of reason in a time of noise. Thank you for reminding us that love for country is not weakness. Nigeria is proud of men like you, and history will remember your courage. 🇳🇬

The Federal Military Government of Sanni Abacha simply handed over LAGOS to the Ibos.

Apapa wharf and Tin Ports were given to them on a platter of Gold.

ALL-IBO management of the resources of Lagos.

In broad daylight.

That's their idea of perfect justice.

With the Ports the Ibo Zionists simply intensified their activities of IMPORTATION through which they laundered DRUG PROCEEDS into the ECONOMY OF YORUBA SW.

They began to pour drug money into the system under cover of importation. It was a matter of a few years and they have upturned Lagos and bought down everywhere.

They ruined Yoruba businesses in a gale of economic terrorism and began to buy out the properties of the poor emasculated people

That is not legitimate transaction but outright CRIMINAL LAND GRABBING.

Three years later, in 1999, Obasanjo got there and simply handed over the NIGERIAN ECONOMY into the hands of the IBOS for 8years

They loved it.

That was perfect Nigeria.

Jonathan came in 2010, three years after Obasanjo and he continued from where Obasanjo stopped.

The ECONOMY OF NIGERIA remaines in their hands for another 5years and they got TRADE FAIR added to it.

That's perfect Nigeria for the Ibos.

Not a single whimper of Biafra agitation.

How can you do these things to a people and you expect them to be quiet while you raped them.

We are just postponing the doomsday.

These thing will eventually be settled by violence.

We are getting near it.
