Final events for Sunday, rounding off a busy 4 days, our teams covered Calverton Village Fete, YMCA Athletics. We’re very greatful to all of our volunteers who give their time to the organisation and their communities.
Busy Bess once again on Sunday with a host of events, with tens out at the Showground for the Partizan Games & another team over the other side, back working with Norton Disney Riding Club for their open horse show.
Saturday also continued with a sporting event for members as they headed over to Berry Hill, with clubs coming from across the area for the events on the track & field. We also covered a local Notts athletics event on Sunday @YMCANewark
Saturday our volunteers was covering the Sherwood Avenue Park open & skate park day! Plenty of skating during the day & activities for everyone to enjoy! We also returned to the Railwayana event, auctioning everything train memorabilia.
Thursday last week was the start of a busy few days! Our team covered the evening dressage event at the Showground. Friday and Saturday evening as our members enjoyed evenings of music and laughter at the Brownhills Strictly Weekend
Plenty across the site for all of the family, from the festival of food, countryside area, blue light services, animals, sports, thrill rides, lawn mower racing, it was all happening under the sun! We’ll be back at next years County Show!

County show completed for another year! Fantastic effort from over 20 of our members on Saturday to head out to cover the show day. We have a team covering set up & pack down, overnight on Friday & Saturday.

The main infrastructure is in place now for the @NottsCountyShow - from today we provide 24 hour cover until Sunday evening, if your attending tomorrow- don’t forget to visit us in the community zone for Stop the Bleeding sessions!

Two days of cleaning, maintenance and providing cover for the set up of this years @NottsCountyShow which takes place on Saturday @ Newark Showground. Today we welcome traders, vendors, cattle, sheep, pigs, horses and many more onto site ahead of show day

Bank Holiday Sunday continued to be busy alongside the Collingham May Fair. We had teams out at Barnby in The Willows, Mansfield Millennium Green Fete & a football final @CollinghamFC
Saturday we were pleased to see over 50 people take part in our Stop The Bleed drop in sessions at the Town Hall as the Knife Angle stands outside. We’re back at the Town Hall on the 16th May and have drop in sessions at the County Show on Saturday

We had a bank holiday weekend at Collingham May fair, with live music on Friday night, evening Ceiligh dance on Saturday and with the May Fay family event on Monday day time. Lucy with the weather which attracted a good crowd!
We return today to Newark Market Place for another Stop the Bleed session! Pop by today between 09:30/15:00 learn how to deal with serious bleeding and take a look at the Knife Angle which is currently in front of the Town Hall.
On Friday and Saturday we had teams in Newark providing Stop the Bleed training as part of the Knife Angel Month in Newark. A good number of people with around 15 having a go at Stopping Bleeding using various equipment from improvised dressings > tourniquets

Bust Sunday with a team attending a match at Collingham football Club and another team attending S:t Georges Day celebrations at Ollerton where a good crowd turned up enjoying Bands, Singers, stalls & Big Parade with “George and the Dragon”, plus lots of Duck Races.
A record weekend for the Newark Garden & Dog Show. Huge crowds and lots of people buying...very happy traders… busy, busy and more busy. Well done to all of our teams as the heat has kept our volunteer First Aiders busy with collapses and everyday cuts, bruises and burns.

Last night we were honoured to be part of the Knife Angel opening ceremony providing cover and been a guest. The statue will stand in Newark for a month, we’re doing stop the bees courses, check out our page for more information!
