Me: “I am, yes”
“You play basketball huh?”

What’s the intent of HS sports? That’s up to the player. Maybe it’s a scholarship; maybe it’s being part of a team. Regardless of a player’s goal, it’s also about life lessons & sportsmanship. It’s about teaching kids to be productive adults & helping them reach their potential.
Players: Treat everyone with respect. That D2 coach you just blew off could be at your dream school next year. Be grateful that any coach is reaching out. Lots of players would love to be in your shoes. Talent is one thing, but an athlete who’s humble & respectful is next level.
