How can we look people in the eye and say we are closing the school because of snow as it isn’t safe for staff to travel to school but it’s ok to come to work when we are riddled with a disease that might kill them?

@ProudHeadTeach1 I emailed the Public Health Consultant for my LA. He said not to use them. I trust him. But I have not seen it in written guidance. Such a huge issue potentially. Could lose teachers and send them into isolation when they don’t need to

A person with the virus can still test positive on PCR for up to 3 months as fragments of viral genetic material can remain in a person’s system. Whilst a LFD look to detect differently and may not detect, do we not LFD these people?

@ballater6 @caroleaf123 @NEUnion All the union needed to say to the employer was ‘that’s illegal and we will take you to court’. They didn’t. The employer knew the union would not hold firm and walked all over the law. It was shameful and as a proud trade unionist, we were betrayed .
