A farmer dies in April 2026.

His son inherits the farm. The farm has been in the family since 1847.

The farm consists of: 300 acres of grazing pasture, a farmhouse built in 1892, a barn, a milking parlour, two tractors of varying ages, a Land Rover that runs about 70% of the time, and a herd of 180 Hereford-cross cattle.

@DudespostingWs I've been trekking in Nepal, and our porters limited rucksack weight to 15 kg. In a 3 week trek I didn't see any porters loaded up like this (Sherpa is an ethnic group name in the Everest region btw, ours didn't call themselves that). Our max height was 5430m. Distance 145 miles

@Sargon_of_Akkad @MigrationWatch In the Yorks pit village I grew up in in the 70s, the largest 'ethnic minority' population was by far Poles and their kids, who had stayed on after WW2. Completely assimilated. I assume these are in that 3% in 1991.

@jollyheretic I haven't seen the burka here in the Sheffield area, but I have seen women in niqabs also wearing sunglasses (even indoors in supermarkets) which looks pretty much like a burka!
