On 110921, at approximately 1330, Police were dispatched to 401 Washington St, for a fight involving a DPW employee, and involving injury. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Division, 845-569-7563.

Police responded to the City DPW at approximately 2045, after a caller reported a suspicious subject in this area, which has been the location of several recent break ins. With the assistance of K9 Tate, Police apprehended a male subject who is being charged accordingly.

On 101821 at approximately 1530, Police responded to the waterfront area, for a report of a subject threatening suicide. Subject had locked themselves in a vehicle and initially refused to talk. After lengthy exchange, subject complied and was taken to a local hospital.

City of Newburgh Detectives have made arrests in multiple shooting incidents, including the triple shooting that occurred on Mill Street, on September 17. The case is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 845-569-7509. Press release to follow.

On 100621, Officer responded to a stolen vehicle at 390 Broadway. Officers located the vehicle, and a suspect, Steven Williamson, fled before apprehension. This is the 3rd stolen vehicle Incident involving Williamson. Residents should be vigilant, when leaving vehicles unattended

On 100621, City of Newburgh Police conducted a Search Warrant at 355 Liberty Street, related to a Homicide Investigation. Numerous subjects were arrested and charged with crimes including gun possession and narcotics. Anyone with information, should call the Detective Division.

Police were dispatched to St. Luke's hospital for a victim of a serious gun shot wound, which is said to have occurred on William Street. Detectives are currently investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Division at 845-569-7509

Police were summoned to St. Luke's Hospital for a gun shot wound victim, at approximately 0430. Police interviewed a Poughkeepsie resident who stated he was shot by an unknown subject, somewhere on Dubois Street. Detectives are currently investigating.

Police are currently on the scene of a triple shooting that occurred on Mill Street, around 02:45. Three subjects sustained serious injury. Anyone with information should contact the Detective Division at 845-569-7509.

On 090621 at approximately 1827, Officers were dispatched to Chambers and South Street for an Onstar notification of a stolen vehicle. Officers located the occupied vehicle which had been reported as stolen from Warren County, NY. Three occupants were detained.
