Mrs Wilson’s Spanish Diploma class were trying out their cookery skills this morning! #lifeskills#languagesforlife They managed to make patatas bravas, tortilla española and quesadillas … all in 55 minutes! ¡Ñam ñam!
Our first #NewHallHispanicWeek event was Miss Clifforth’s Salsa and Cha-Cha dance lesson this lunchtime. Smiles all round and a real sense of enjoyment at having done something different on a Tuesday lunchtime!
This week at @NewHallSchool it is Hispanic Week! Lots of events will take place over the course of the week and we look forward to seeing students and staff get involved!
Thank you very much to Izzy for bringing in some Spanish-themed cupcakes for Mrs Wilson’s lesson today 🇪🇸 🧁 What a great way to end the week, ¡ñam ñam!

Year 12 DELE students are collaborating wonderfully to translate a tricky text into English that combines all of the past tenses they have been working on recently. #collaborativelearning#welovegrammar
Our wonderful Year 13 DELE students went to @CervantesLondon to sit their Diploma exams last week. Well done for all their hard work … here they are in the biggest Spanish library in the country.
Year 7 Spanish students are enjoying using their iPads and the Book Creator app to make audio books. We’ll see in a few days what the outcomes are and hopefully our Prep Divisions students will enjoy watching and listening to them! #spanishfun
Some new official French translations to help everyone avoid using anglicisms such as 'spoiler' and 'podcast' in their French. Wonderful, sophisticated vocabulary for GCSE and A-Level, even if it's clear that French people will understand 'spoiler' and 'podcast' perfectly well!
If, like Mrs Wilson, you just ❤️ translation, @QueensCollegeOx have created https://t.co/X1uvbsyCYL for great hints and tips as well as an insight into studying languages @UniofOxford 👩🏼🎓🧑🏾🎓 And there is a competition planned for Sept 2020 ... get ready! 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇪🇸

Y12 francophones: voici encore un exemple de l'impact du coronavirus sur les fêtes et les festivals en France, ainsi qu'encore un lien avec la seconde guerre mondiale. Notez bien!
C’est une première depuis la fin de la seconde guerre mondiale : le 14 juillet 2020, il n’y aura pas de défilé militaire sur l’avenue des Champs-Elysées, comme le veut la tradition à l’occasion de la fête nationale. https://t.co/hRAFYiXAey
