Can we discuss this? Allowing parents to choose the gender of their newborn on birth certificates, rather than recording the child’s biological sex, opens the door to dangerous medical interventions that can have lifelong consequences.

When gender identity is prioritized over biological reality, some parents may pursue hormone treatments or even irreversible surgeries on children who are far too young to consent or understand the risks. These procedures can cause serious medical issues, including stunted growth, infertility, weakened bone density, cardiovascular problems, and lifelong hormonal imbalances.

In addition, performing surgery or administering puberty blockers on healthy bodies disrupts natural development and can lead to psychological distress and regret later in life. Hospitals should prioritize protecting children’s long-term health and development, rather than enabling harmful experimentation driven by adult ideology.

As a mother, advocate, and survivor, I am committed to protecting our children from this abuse. I will work alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Department of Health and Human Services to put an end to dangerous medical practices that alter children’s natural development.

Together, we will fight to ensure that hospitals and medical institutions return to science-based care, prioritizing the health and well-being of every child over ideology and profit. No child should ever be subjected to life-altering procedures they cannot understand or consent to.
