We’ve all been hearing the pops, cracks, whizzing, and booms that accompany the holiday season. Some of our furry friends are not fans!
In 2025, July 4th resulted in the 2nd highest day of stray intakes at shelters!*
With all of the excitement of the holiday, please remember to ensure your pets have properly fitting collars with legible identification tags! Ensure yards/fences/enclosures are properly secured. If you & your vet have decided anxiety medication is necessary, don’t wait until July 3rd to request a refill! Microchipping your pet goes a long way in helping them find their way home should you become separated!
AND be wary of what your pets are up to during your own celebrations! While you’re helping yourself to another round, make sure your pup isn’t helping themselves to the unattended BBQ remnants and desserts!
