@icarus_grimm@soggybrocoli There's context left out of the story that is likely very key to understanding. Perhaps she was drunk, roofied, missing phone, etc. or straight up not thinking properly due to panic. Not every human action is perfectly calculated and thought through.
@aryansawhney17@rowgnt2@JingZhe24 You didn't really say much of anything. So, yes, an inference had to be made. Don't vaguepost if you don't want people to "misinterpret" you.
I’d still think this post was pathetic if it came from the CEO of a successful company. But this is coming from the CEO of a company that’s basically been on holiday for five years?
Wow
@AntonHand I am curious on your opinion on AI for use as a coding tool, with no other AI usage (eg. image/model gen). Where do you draw the line on it? Boring stuff? Routine stuff? "Don't use it at all"? I keep seeing public opinion shifting towards "AI code is fine under supervision"
@sleitnick is because I was curious whether this post came from a place of NEEDING that optimization (which would have been fun to hear about) or just for the sake of an interesting factoid. (2/2)
@sleitnick It feels very reductionist to say "why learn any" when there are code performance tips that are far more generally applicable (don't abuse property sets, don't append to strings when you can table.concat, etc) than a single opcode elimination; the reason I ask my question (1/2)
@skii_ryu To elaborate on the second point: when I hear "Y2K", I think static webpages. I don't think of images that fade in and rounded corners around frames (would be different if the corners themselves were images).
It feels like the style of the art and that of the page are at odds.
@skii_ryu As someone completely outside of the artist sphere, my main complaint would be it's very hard to read the text. It's bright pink on white, I had to strain to read it + I'm not too sure Y2K pixel art goes well with a "modern" web framework. Just my 2c, art looks great
@nervewing You have quite the talent for art. I originally followed you for your insights on substances, but your art is just as interesting to ingest. All of these evoke very specific emotions; my favorite has to be the first one, such great structure in the skin. Thanks for sharing.
