PM @AbiyAhmedAli has fired the Board Chairman of the Ethiopian Airlines Group, Ato Girma Wake, and replaced him with the Commander of the Ethiopian Air Force, General Yilma Merdasa, for refusing to replace the current CEO of @flyethiopian , Ato Mesfin Tasew (Amhara), with the current CCO, Ato Lemma Yadecha (Oromo). Sources have confirmed that Girma Wake refused to appoint Lemma Yadecha as CEO of @flyethiopian due to lack of experience, at last weeks board meeting.
