@MAISfanGuy I think its fine if a switch happens and no rules are broken. I think recruiting is an over used term now. Kids are on the move a lot more now on their own. Unfortunately the MAIS has taken a hit this summer losing some top athletes as well. But have also gained some good ones

@MAISfanGuy Seems like many young athletes are seeing that they have school choice & can go wherever they want. It seems to be less frowned upon now & less taboo to leave. Yeah there may be a coach saying “hey come here to play” but it seems like players are just going where they want to go

@JimboKiffin69 @DrBeauchamp Yes most do it in FB for sure. Much much less do it in Bball. Now they might recruit a FB kid that plays Bball, but rarely do the smaller schools recruit & actually get an athlete in for Bball only thats a game changer. The big schools do get them bball only from public schools

@JimboKiffin69 @DrBeauchamp Or they can try and schedule the public schools they take the athletes from😂 they complain about not getting games but theyre their own reason why the good schools around them wont play them. They could play on their “level” but they alienate teams bc they steal their players

@JimboKiffin69 @DrBeauchamp Haha for sure! I guess my only gripe is if JA wants to play Starkville but SA doesnt & they are made to so they can “get games”. Then MAIS should make Manchester play Simpson if they “need a game”. All im saying if we are forcing schedules to do it across the board, not just big4

@DrBeauchamp @JimboKiffin69 Not a bad idea either! I dont necessarily want to for the big 4 to pay or do anything either. I think they should both keep their freedom. Thats why i like the league. Let them do what they want. Big 4 shouldn’t be forced to pay, others shouldn’t be forced to play. I like choices

I dont think those mean the same, i dont think he had to do too much. 4 out 1 in, run & jump & stay solid. Thats basically all they did, but it was simple & effective. Morgan raised the bar

@Drew_Schiele @JimboKiffin69 @MAISfanGuy If we really think about it “4A” is a major screw up by the MAIS and if it was 6A and 5A then it would be 3 and 3 like normal so basically the only change is they added one more team from the best teams available. Which i think having the better teams at overall is a good thing

@MAIS_enjoyer @JimboKiffin69 I think both teams are really good in their respective classes. I never said MRA wasnt good. They are the best team in the state absolutely. Love watching them. All i said was that Morgan was the only coach on the list without a recruit, that is a factual statement

@MAIS_enjoyer @JimboKiffin69 Also, we arent comparing which team is better. Yes MRA is better than leake. Obviously. When talking about coaches, my take on it is what do they do with the team they have, not if they’re better than someone else, who just fills holes when needed
