Honored to receive a Polk award in local reporting with the great @BostonGlobeMark for our account of the detainment of Tufts student Rümeysa Öztürk, with the support of our amazing editors. We are deeply grateful to Rümeysa for bravely speaking out.https://t.co/t0xGivFPwS
Typos 2 and 3 of the day: capitalizing the in The New York Times Opinion section is a bad grammatical error. The modifies section, not New York Times. See your style guide. Bonus extra space. @BostonGlobeMark
On today’s from page, the moment when Tufts PhD student Rümeysa Öztürk was released from the Louisiana detention facility where she had been held for six weeks, after she was arrested by masked immigration agents on a Somerville street in March. We reported from Basile, La., where supporters waited for hours in the rain for Öztürk to be let go.
“Thank you so much for all the support and love,” Öztürk told them, with a smile on her face, and hands over her heart.

@IanPrasad@BostonGlobe @BostonGlobeMark You’re a fucking idiot, all Bob Kraft did is buy the team with his dead wife’s money and run the franchise into the ground once Tom and Bill left. The family sucks.
