We are saddened to hear about the passing of Philip Hedley. His impact on the sector was truly extraordinary, leaving a mark on the theatre world. His influence will long be remembered, and SOLT & UK Theatre community mourns his loss.

Very sad to hear this news. On the few occasions I met him, he was always very friendly and his company’s show’s always generated good box office. I’m sorry his last couple of years at Everton were so difficult; he loved that club and didn’t deserve the vitriol.
Statement about Bill Kenwright, who has died. As this tribute points out, he produced more than 500 shows across the West End, on Broadway and on tour. He was a true force in the industry & his death is a massive loss.
@IsyMead Not unbiased - my father was Palestinian - but I can recommend this. Edward Said is also worth reading. As for the British role in this history, it’s not good.
@IsyMead @PoetryDayUK Under Ben Bulben. ‘Cast a cold eye On life, on death. Horseman, pass by!’ Those words have always resonated with me. I’d add a picture of his gravestone but can’t find it in my 15k+ photos.
As @ImagineerUK heads into an exciting new future as a NPO, the company are looking for a new leadership team to build on the company’s recent achievements and take it into its next phase of development #artsjobs#coventry

Fantastic to hear Alex Kingston mention #TheatreGreenBook in her recent Women's Hour interview, praising @TheRSC for reusing sets, costumes and even rubbish (Interview from c44 mins, Green Book from c53 mins) #CreativeClimateAction#ClimateNeedsCulture

A dereliction of duty from @ace_national, Oldham Coliseum is a top rate producing theatre for the North and the loss will be felt across the region. Shocking and infuriating.
