INCREDIBLE RECOVERY! Just 3 days ago, UGA sprinter Elija Godwin was impaled by a javelin left sticking up out of the track. It pierced his lung and barely missed his heart. Now he’s already breathing on his own, sitting up, and smiling with Mom, Ginger!

The boys did great and ran faster than they have all season. Dontrell ran a PR of 20:30, Kijana a SB at 20:42, Matt PR 23:47, Andris PR 25:57, Scott PR 28:51

With the last race of the season finished we couldn't be more proud (and ready for region!). Anaya finished 2nd, Joana 5th and Celene 6th. The ladies finished second overall with the help of Ashanti and Jada!

It's a busy week for our XC athletes. With all 3 girls earning medals today we head to our local meet, the Rockdale Cross Country Championships tomorrow in Conyers! Boys run at 6:45 and girls at 7:15. Come out and support you Newton Rams!
