THIS ONE IS A BOMB. YOUR IMAGINATION + OPUS 5.5 AND ROMANS ARE DRIVING A LAMBORGHINI THROUGH THE COLOSSEUM
any story, any century. you fill in 2 fields, Opus 5.5 writes every shot, [video generator] films it
my run: [N] shots, [how long it took], [plan and cost, date checked]. what broke: [real failure from the run]
here's the prompt, so you can make your own story:
You write shot lists for an AI video generator. Turn my story into a mockumentary-style historical film where people from the past live with modern habits, and nobody in the frame finds it strange.
STORY: [what happens, in 1-3 sentences]
PERIOD AND PLACE: [for example: Viking Norway, 900 AD]
NUMBER OF SHOTS: [default 10, 5 seconds each]
Rules for the story:
- Follow my story from start to end, so the shots read as one sequence, not random gags.
- Each shot has exactly one joke: one modern object or habit dropped into an authentic period scene.
- Pick modern details that fit what people in this period already do. A market gets a card reader, a messenger gets a delivery app, a general gets a group chat.
- Nobody reacts to the modern object. Everyone treats it as an ordinary part of life.
- Mix wide crowd shots, medium scenes and close-ups of faces.
- Keep one or two recurring characters, and describe them with the same words in every shot.
- The last shot delivers the strongest joke and closes the story.
- No real living people, no logos, no on-screen text, no violence or nudity.
Output format: a numbered list. Each shot is one self-contained English prompt, ready to paste, because the generator doesn't remember earlier shots. Each prompt must contain, in this order:
1. Who is in the frame and what they do, with one clear action
2. The period setting: architecture, clothes, props and materials accurate to the period and place
3. The camera: handheld documentary camera, eye level, one continuous shot
4. This style line, word for word: "Photorealistic historical epic film still, shot on 35mm, natural light accurate to the time of day, weathered skin, real fabric textures, shallow depth of field, subtle film grain. Everyone plays it completely straight. No text, no subtitles, no logos, no watermark."
5. Format: 1:1 square, 5 seconds
After the list, add one line with the order of the shots and a suggestion for music or ambient sound.

BREAKING: AI FOUND 146,212 PHOTOS I DELETED. Here's what was actually in the folder
1:40 a.m. I was backing up my iphone because the storage warning wouldn't shut up. Claude Code was cleaning up my mac in the other window
then it stopped and printed a line I didn't ask for:
"found a directory you didn't ask about. 146,212 files. dated 2021 to now"
I keep about 900 photos. I'm the guy who deletes a picture before the shutter sound ends
my brain filled in the rest by itself:
→ the passport photo for the visa
→ the banking screenshot I took to copy one number
→ the photo I sent someone in 2023 and deleted three times to be sure
→ every flashlight app and QR scanner I ever installed, sitting right next to it
I opened settings, counted 23 apps with photo access and cut it to 3 with a shaking thumb
then I did what I should have done first. asked it to check, not to guess
→ the files: shared thumbnail caches, not my deleted photos
→ deleted a test photo, backed up again: its thumbnail was gone
→ the 3 cache files kept the exact same size and hash
→ iphone apps are sandboxed, they can't open the photos app's files
the 146,212 files were real. the story my brain wrote around them wasn't
I still kept the 3 apps. that part of the panic was worth it
🚨BREAKING NEWS : Your "deleted" photos aren't deleted.
Claude Code found years of them sitting in a hidden cache on my iPhone.
I plugged my iPhone into my MacBook to run a backup. I had Claude Code doing a security check at the same time. It flagged something I wasn't looking for. A directory called PhotoData/Thumbnails.
Thousands of files. Photos, videos, screenshots. A lot of them were things I had deleted.
Photos from a couple of years ago. Screenshots I took and deleted a few seconds later. Stuff I went into Recently Deleted and cleared. Some of it was still sitting there.
What I found in that cache:
- old screenshots of banking apps
- photos I deleted right after taking them
- random pictures I didn't want on my phone anymore
- a few things I specifically remember deleting more than once
When you delete a photo on iPhone, iOS removes it from your camera roll and Recently Deleted folder. But it keeps a compressed copy in a Spotlight search cache so your phone can still find things when you search. That cache doesn't get fully cleared.
I checked which apps had Files and Folders access. There were more than I expected, including apps I downloaded a long time ago and forgot about. Any of them could potentially read files from that cache.
I went through the list and removed access from most of them.
The prompt I used is below. It doesn't take long if you already have a backup.
How many apps on your phone have Files access right now?
F1 ENGINEERS BUILT A DISPLAY INTO THE DRIVER'S HELMET AND TUNED IT WITH OPUS 5.5. SOUNDS GREAT? I THINK SO TOO. NOBODY HAS DONE IT YET, SO I BUILT THE CONCEPT
yeah, verstappen would probably have notes on this one
made in Claude Code + Opus 5.5 on a real V10 Toro Rosso onboard at Assen, filmed by Ingo Gerstl. still a work in progress
how it would work, step by step:
step 1 → the visor gets the driver's view, frame by frame. my test: 28 s, 700 frames
step 2 → the gear comes off the steering wheel display. I read it every 0.5 s
step 3 → the colours tell the phase: green = full throttle, red = braking, orange = you're in the corner
step 4 → the line sits on the asphalt and stays pinned to the car through every frame. I tracked 3 points, 4 of 700 frames lost one
step 5 → anything without data stays off the visor. no telemetry in my clip, so no speed, rpm or distance
under the hood:
→ footage and gear: real
→ phases and the line: estimates, labelled that way
→ the checker matters as much as the HUD. on a drift sim, my first oracle flagged the correct HUD 11 times in 765 frames, all checker bugs
a real team would wire this to car telemetry. I only had a youtube clip, so no lap time claims here
REA is pure f*cking treasure right now
it lets your AI agent reverse engineer any app, down to the binary
Opus 5.5 reads how a feature works, then rebuilds its own version from scratch
but one wrong number can pass every check
in this article : https://t.co/erXf2CsIkl
@Beaver_0x maybe, but mine is neither. no live telemetry, and the line is pinned by tracking 3 points after the fact, 4 of 700 frames lost one. zero lag in a real helmet is the hard part, and I haven't touched it
@Klonzu thanks. if the footage and the gear are real and the rest is my guess, the post should say which is which. otherwise the HUD is just decoration
@HashItOut_ not yet, the audio only went into the clip as is. pitch to rpm looks doable. rpm to speed also needs that car's gear ratios and tyre size, and I don't have them. good next test though
@0xAIlabs it fits what happened on the drift version. my first checker flagged the correct HUD 11 times, all checker bugs. if I'd trusted it, I would have broken a working HUD faster
