Yesterday’s Parliament was utterly disappointing from the Government side.

The order of business for that meeting was just Minister’s Question Time and most of the questions were not able to be answered by Ministers as they were absent, no deputies in place to answer for them.

Accountability is the cornerstone of democracy. Yesterday, that cornerstone crumbled. No Minister or Deputy Minister appeared in Parliament to answer for their portfolios. What message does that send to the people they claim to serve.
