@ESPNLunardi While I agree with your take on its face, here is my issue. Let’s not use these extra at-large opportunity to let in a 16-14 major conference team that went 6-10 in its conference and got blitzed out of its conference tourney. How about we reward the 27-5 mid majors instead??

@CBKReport If there were no bid thieves, I think Auburn would be the last team in. However, losses by Saint Louis and Miami Ohio in their conference tournaments and Santa Clara beating St. Mary’s moves the cut line up by three spots, which costs San Diego St., Oklahoma and Auburn bids.

@ESPNLunardi Quick fixes are: No sub .500 conference records unless you win the auto bid, cap on number of teams per conference and make all conference tourneys end by Saturday so that Sunday can be a day for reviewing the entire picture and make adjustments as needed.

@ESPNLunardi What is your read on this year’s committee based on their early reveals? Some years the mid-majors seem to get extra slots from the committee and some years they get almost totally shut out. Most mock brackets thus far are power-5 heavy with only the MWC and WCC getting berths.

@aroj18 I agree completely on Bonds, who was a 5 tool stud for years. Clemens has always been a question mark for me since I could never get past how long his career would have been without “help”, but looking at the ballot and being able to select up to 10 players, I would vote him in.
