“Thoughtful Christians realize that it is not the text but rather the musical setting of the Liturgy which needs variety.”
- Walter Buszin, Chairman of the LCMS Commission on Worship, Liturgics, and Hymnology (1959)
@22liv22 Christ says marriage doesn't exist in heaven in response to the Sadducees question. (Mt 22) Paul says the marriage, and the Law applying to it, ends at the death of a spouse. (Rom 7)
@NeilShenvi It's hubris to say the Science always life as its logical outcome—death is just as probable. (Given human proclivities, more likely) Christ's resurrection makes life the only logical outcome.
@rabbriansamuel Sure. And yet Paul consistently wrote Ιησούς and not a transliterated Ιησουα. Indeed, to back it up further, the Spirit of Christ, whom Christ said would guide them in all truth, never inspired any of the NT authors to give such a corrective either.
