PS: Safi is not an Ayurvedic formulation.

It is marketed by a company called Hamdard - and it is their proprietary formulation containing 28 herbs.

And it is part of Unani - another absolute nonsense of an alternative medicine practice that originated from ancient pseudoscientific Greek philosophy of "Bodily Humors", and found its way into Arab countries, endorsed and modified as Greco-Arab or Persio-Arab and is mostly centered around the Islamic culture of traditional treatment.

Safi is "advertised and promoted" as a "natural blood purifier" that helps improve blood circulation to reduce pimples and relieve constipation (two extreme physiological processes that can never be explained by consuming a multiherbal product).

The only things that can purify your blood -
Naturally: your lungs, liver and kidneys.
Artifically: a dialysis machine.

Not some lame herbal product.
In fact the kidneys and liver go into overdrive to purify your body of this herbal junk as soon as you consume it.

Fact: if you search Pubmed or any scientific studies repository or database for effectiveness and safety of "SAFI," you get back ZERO results. Which essentially means, that everyone consuming Safi has consented to become a real life lab rat and there are no mechanisms in place to even figure out if you are negatively getting affected by it. Enjoy the ride.

In August 2005 the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency of the United Kingdom Department of Health reported that samples of Safi contained high levels of arsenic. The next month Health Canada issued a warning that Safi was "found to contain arsenic levels in excess of 40 times the maximum allowable concentration for drugs" and people who had used the product were told to contact their physician. The product had never been authorized for sale in Canada, but authorities suspect it may have been sold there, and had also been available for sale in USA. The product has subsequently been not allowed to enter Canada and Australia.
