Released a UI Shine Effect plugin.
Supports buttons, text, and image based UI elements, a capability I found largely absent from existing shine solutions.
Built around a fast workflow with ready to use presets, while still offering extensive customization and multiple activation modes when needed.

At last year’s Roblox Developers Conference, Roblox shared that ~29,000 developers are in the DevEx program.
Out of millions of creators.
That’s a tiny fraction.
If you’re in that group, or even near the average, you’re skilled.
“Saturation” is a myth. Most developers lack fundamentals.

Scope creep is when a project gradually expands beyond its original release plan.
Subtly adding features over time without proper control, resulting in delays.
For anyone who actively creates with AI, here’s something to consider.
How Perceived Generated Content Shapes Player Experience

Branding is the most important part of game development, above design, above marketing, above everything.
It defines your game’s identity, and identity determines who resonates, who stays, and who ignores it.
Design supports it. Marketing amplifies it.

Many developers miss opportunities by misreading outcomes like this.
What looks like “brainrot games don’t last long” is often just regression to the mean + selection bias, not a causal rule about the genre.
The reality is:
most games don’t last, regardless of genre.
What’s happening is a misattribution problem. Trend driven spikes create abnormal exposure, then normalize, and that drop gets blamed on the game instead of the cycle.
A more accurate model:
success = skill (execution quality) + luck (timing within a trend)
When luck is high (viral trends), outcomes become extreme, both up and down. After that, they regress.
So it’s not that “brainrot games die fast,” it’s that high-variance games are coming down from inflated exposure.
The trend is luck. The part you control is execution. That’s what determines what survives.
