The Next American Revolution is not about violence or chaos.
It’s about memory.
It’s about accountability.
It’s about refusing to let OUR America slip away.
#America250
@letstalkforsec@RNCVoteProtect Sorry, after this last election sham California is a lost cause. Just like London. Your best bet is to get out before it gets worse. If they can't get the save act passed with 86% support, they are not coming to help you guys. That I can promise you.
@RNCVoteProtect We don't care. Until you can get the leadership to pass the #SAVEACT, everything you do is theater. 86% of Americans support it and you still can't get it across. You're useless. Every American should withhold any further donations until you remember you work for us.
That's just it, if you're going through it, fine. I respect you, you have an amazing courage. And there's way less of a general issue with trans men. If they are at all passing they may just look shorter, in a rest room if they slip in to stall no one thinks twice, and most of the time they don't threaten people with violence. It is live and let live, because that's what it is. No one really cares as much. Even with all that added testosterone for the most part there's less problems. And maybe that is partly because it's a smaller community as maybe it's easier for some to be a "stereotypical bull" and live there. Anytime a cis conservative man says something tragic, we're all lumped in as Nazis or Phobes or whatever. But we're not. So I guess there's a good lesson here to take the temperature down. And I'll take that away. But there has to be a line with live and let live. We have to be able to call out bad behavior. We see things eroding and that is really scary. So maybe it's unfair lump all "trans people" into the bucket with those edge cases. Believe it or not, I'm a way less about right and left, than I am about right and wrong. And it seems that no one or at least not enough people are calling out the bad behavior. Whether you see gender as a binary, 63, or an infinite spectrum, it really doesn't effect me at all, any of us really, there are some science facts that say one thing continues the species and other things don't but fine. But can we call out the bad behavior? The most ironic thing we're told that the cis white male wants to invade women's spaces and bodies. While all we're trying to do is protect them. Even the far right or religious conservatives aren't trying take something away, however misguided they are, they are trying to keep something here. We need people to start talking. We're not going to get anywhere good with out that. Some times I reflect on the fact that my line, my family name, and what ever they had ends in my lifetime. There's no one to pass things down to, there's nothing to carry on. But still I don't want to watch the world burn. Because there are young minds out there that maybe could do it better than we're doing it now.
My friends fought though ridiculous odds though stupid hoop after hoop to get a letter changed on their licenses or birth certificates. They went though painful surgeries and even worse mental struggles as trans people. They are some of the most genuine and brave people I know and love. I don't hate trans people. I don't say my trans friends, it's just my friends. What I don't like is cos playing assholes that feel it's ok to get their jollies off of perving out in women's rest rooms and locker rooms. It's those people that can fuck off. There's a difference. Figure it out.
And now you must pay the stupid tax. @IRS please destroy her. Not for not paying her taxes, lots of people do that, but for being this stupid. These people need to start understanding there are consequences for their actions. If I recall you all were great at going after conservatives during the Biden Admin.
@ThatEricAlper I don't know. Kind of feeling historically marginalised and discriminated against with all this dei bullshit, but I guess 2 wrongs make a right these days. Ok but then you can't get made when it's my turn again right? or we can just end this shit now like adults.
@TheRabbitHole Why not round it out and show white/white hispanic/hispanic and black/black? And then not make it simply about race, and more about criminality. This gives the left room to argue. Make it bullet proof and then state it.
@IfindRetards@EndWokeness These will be in a yard in 3 weeks next to some electric buses that were also supposed to save the world. These people are idiots. Feel the inclusion? No? Then ride the gay bus. Naa.. they have to be punking us.
@NYGovPress Really? You want us to listen to anything you say? When you think it's sane to eliminate words like mother and father? You must really be one dumb MOTHER fu%&er.
Please get a room you two. I see you have lots to say, and if you are not going to do it with an open mind and attempt to converse honestly, I just ask that you move it off this thread. I'm not trying to what if, or win a who has it better or worse conversation. I want to find common ground and figure out how we can move this country forward.
While I believe this is true, this is simply lobbing gas on the fire. If you don't point out that his foreign policy was flawed and hurt people around the world or his ideas on policing came from think tanks that profited from racial injustice and violence than youre not being part of the conversation and youre just knee jerk responding I'm trying to open up honest and authentic conversation not shitpost about others opinions.
Because we are evolving. There's not been a female or a Latino or Asian president either. But it is a repressive republic. And Blacks make up 13% and if I may speak freely, while Obama the man was a break thru, in hindsight I think he did more of a dis service to Black Americans than anything good outside of being a roll model. I think his policies not the man were the issue. So there are some great Black leaders I would not hesitate to vote for a Black candidate male or female if I thought they have the be policies and intentions for our country. And I am confident that most Americans would agree. We shouldn't select someone for what they look like or because some have been underrepresented here. This is not about dei. We need the person that can lead us and bring the county forward as a whole. Some one to lead for all people.
No. I will never know what it is like to be black in America. I'd like to think that being in America makes all of our lives better than some other places. I have seen racism in my years in different forms. But not like my parents. They grew up when segregation was still a thing. They were in the north and things were very integrated but they at least saw the struggles of the south on TV. But born in 75 it was dying out in the 80s. But I saw "Latinos in Houston" that are terrible to the "wetbacks" they were way worse than the whites i saw. I see black people be racist to other black people" I am the victim of tribalism very often. I work in IT and the Indians don't hire white people and often treat us different. But most of all the ones in the US treat the ones offshore terribly thats racism. Some people would call me a racist for just being born white. I don't think I am, I treat ever person at face value. If I shake your hand your word is as good as the next person. I dont l I ke criminality, or vandalism, or assaults. But I will call that out where ever I see it. Not sure that makes me a racist. The numbers around gun violence shouldn't be seen as racist. They should be seen as an epidemic that needs any help it can get to stop kids from killing kids. I don't think that in itself is racist.
Before I answer I just want to clarify uncase I am missing your point, the Irish were paid contractually by their enslavers, the Jews received money from Germany, The Japanese that were interred were compensated by the US government, Who is on the hook here and for what? I just don't want to give a knee jerk response if I'm not understanding your point.
