we’re also building a much friendlier mod interface so our moderators can help us review edits, clean up metadata, add missing titles, and keep series pages as accurate and polished as possible. little by little, we’re getting there

A little NextChapter update ♡

We’ve been going through all the feedback you’ve sent us since launch, so here’s a look at what we’re working on right now, plus a few things we’ve already gotten done.

Currently in the works:

♡ Expanding coverage on Korean novels
♡ Adding official reading links for Chinese novels
♡ Creating a dedicated Articles page where you’ll be able to browse public articles written by the community
♡ Adding Contributor tags + a Contributor Leaderboard so we can properly credit everyone helping us improve and expand the database
♡ Creating Early Supporter profile badges for everyone who joined NextChapter during its first few weeks. We want the people who were here from the very beginning to always have a little something on their profile to show it ♡
♡ Database & Metadata Guidelines. We’ve been working on these in detail with feedback from community members and legal reviewers so there are clear standards for how titles, covers, synopses, links, metadata, and community contributions are handled across NextChapter.

And since launch, we’ve already:

♡ Approved 713 community contributions, including title corrections, cover replacements, missing official links, metadata fixes, and more
♡ Launched the new Community Lists page
♡ Fixed more bugs than we can count at this point (╥﹏╥)

There is still a ridiculous amount we want to build, but right now we’re trying to prioritize the things you’ve been asking for most.

So please keep sending us your feedback, feature requests, missing titles, metadata corrections, weird bugs, and all the tiny things you notice.

We are omnipresent and reading everything! ♡
