Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have rescued five kidnap victims during a search-and-rescue operation in Sanga LGA of Kaduna State.
The victims were rescued on Sunday after soldiers spotted an abandoned vehicle along the Ungwan Gora highway and launched an immediate search of nearby bushes.
Two of the rescued victims sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at General Hospital, Gwantu. Security sources said two other passengers are still missing, while troops have intensified efforts to locate and rescue them.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to tackle kidnapping and other criminal activities across the area.
