My dad has suffered a heart attack, and now he needs to undergo open heart surgery because multiple veins and arteries surrounding his heart are blocked.

If anyone here knows someone who has done this surgery before, please share your experience with me. The thought of it is terrifying me and I just feel so helpless and anxious knowing that they're going to stop his heart to operate and no amount of googling is helping
