@notcapnamerica To think that it's almost 2025 and this STILL needs to be repeated, is a shame. Now more than ever education is everywhere. But then again, so is ignorance. I just don't get it. And yes, I'm Puerto Rican— I'm an American 🇵🇷🇺🇸
On Thursday, October 10th, at around 3:07 am, we received a 911 call about a young pregnant woman going into labor....while Hurricane Milton was still beating down on Polk County.
Because of the high winds, ambulances were unable to transport people.
PCSO deputies responded to the residence and met Zenia and Javier, the expecting parents.
Deputy Calderin assisted Zenia and Javier into her patrol car and they made their way to the hospital, while deputies Jones and Goolsby drove one of their relatives there.
Our deputies went back to the hospital later in the day to check up on everyone and learned that Zenia gave birth to a baby girl named Jade at about 1:30 pm.
Congratulations, Zenia and Javier!

To the #FloridaMan who left your dog alone tied to a fence as #HurricanMilton flood waters were rising, your dog was found, rescued, and is safe. If you're ever found, you will not be so lucky. You will however be in 6 states at the same time.

This is my youngest son who works for Georgia Power. He just finished 14 straight days of 16 hour shifts & never complained once. He’s back on a normal schedule as of today…got home and fell asleep in the chair before supper. I’m very proud of him!
I’m not crying…
In the midst of devastation, the residents of Toombs County, Georgia, gathered together yesterday to welcome and thank the linemen who left their families behind to restore power to their community.
This is the American Spirit. God Bless them ALL! 🙏🇺🇸
Violent tornado sent to me by my friend Jason Dolliver shot in Fort pierce near the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds. Video shot by Kayla Pollack. An absolutely horrible day for tornadoes.
