With a rather effective set of projections, Aly Ryan took part in #UnserLiedFürIsrael, the 2019 preselection for 🇩🇪. Her song “Wear Your Love” was a fan favourite but could only achieve 4th place. Since then, she has not stopped trying to make it to ESC.

Aminata returned to #Supernova in 2022 with the poignant “I'm Letting You Go”, in which she painfully says goodbye to a past love. Despite a brilliant vocal performance, she was neither the jury's nor the televote's favourite and had to settle for second place.

The final of the Norwegian #MelodiGrandPrix 1990 was held in the newly-renovated Royal Christiania Hotel. In between all the waiters coming and going Tor Endresen performed “Café Le Swing”, about a very special bar with a jukebox that plays vintage dance music all the time.

Tonicha participated in the 1968 #FestivaldaCanção with two songs. One of them was “Calendário”, in which she reflects on the passing of the years and laments how slowly time goes by when she is not by the side of the person she loves. With this tune she finished in 7th place.

Prior to their participation in Eurovision 2012, Litesound dressed up in historical costumes and performed, accompanied by singer Rita Dakota, “Carry On” at #Eurofest 2009. They finished third behind Petr Elfimov and the fan favourite, Gunesh.

Eugeen Nauwelaers was born in 1951 in the Flemish town of Duffel. Under the name Gene Summer he tried to represent Belgium at Eurovision on three occasions, the first one in 1981 with the song “Zing het maar” (Try to sing it).

Moniqué, pseudonym of Monika Pundziūtė, won the Lithuanian version of #XFactor in 2016 and in 2020 she participated in the newly-established #PabandomIšNaujo with “Make Me Human”. Thanks to an outstanding performance and staging, she managed to come second, behind The Roop.

One of the sweetest melodies we got to hear at #EestiLaul 2021 was Karl Killing's “Kiss Me”, a ballad in which he expresses his feelings to the person he loves. In the final, he got the third best score from the jury, but did not convince the audience, so he finished eighth.

The other members of the group were Csilla Szabó (vocals, acoustic guitar), Jenei Szilveszter (guitar), Hajas László (drums), Szúts István (keyboards, violin) and Sötét Gábor (bass guitar).

Erika Géczi is a retired Magyar canoe sprinter who won a silver medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics. After that, she enrolled in several bands. One of them was Rockfort, which tried to represent Hungary at ESC 1997 with “Jolly”, a song that may remind us of Dolly Parton's “Jolene”.

Noemi's 7th participation at #Sanremo, “Ti amo non lo so dire”, was written by Mahmood, Alessandro La Cava and Dardust. The song is a metaphor to say that overcoming our frailties takes a lot of courage. It placed 15th in the grand final.

Swiss instrumental soft pop band Sweet People was created in 1977 by Alain Morisod to participate in #ConcoursEurovision. The song with which they tried to represent the Helvetic Republic was called “Viens avec nous” and invited us to solve our problems through music.

2024 marks the thirtieth anniversary of the formation of the eurodance group Movetron. They tried to represent Finland in 2008 with “Cupido”, a very energetic song that reminds us that the angel of love is blindfolded but the power of the impact of his arrow is unbelievable.

Grup Karma was formed in 1978 by Özkan Uğur. That same year they participated in the Turkish pre-selection with “İmkansız”, in which they say that there are impossible things, such as black snow, the sea drying up or being far away from the person we love.

“Where’d You Wanna Go?” was Gebrasy’s fourth attempt to represent Lithuania at ESC. The song is about a couple realising that, even though they love each other, cannot be together in the future. That bitter end is metaphorically compared with an accident.
